Virtualization

Virtualization is an excellent way of increasing the reliability of your hardware. When you virtualize your machines, you can decrease downtime, lower power costs, and increase overall reliability.

I can help you virtualize your servers.

Virtualization in a Nutshell

Let’s say you’re hosting your own mail and file servers in your office. Some of your equipment is aging, and the time has almost come to replace the machines.

Replacing all the hardware, however, would be incredibly costly and inefficient.

Instead, you can virtualize the machines by adding one or more new servers to your current servers.

Essentially, virtualization takes one host machine and divides it into multiple virtual servers. Each virtual server acts as though it is a physically distinct piece of equipment, yet they are all within the single host machine.

Virtualization: Dollars and Cents

Virtualization can save your business money by enabling you to use less dedicated space for your servers. Dedicated space for your servers is expensive, and the more hardware you have, the more expensive it gets. Cooling costs go through the roof as you add more servers.

Server virtualization lessens this issue by enabling you to use fewer individual servers. Your dedicated server space won’t be nearly as hot, and you will notice a significant difference in you power bill.
